Uploading Points/New Call Reports into Account #2:

All call reports are stored on Joel's PC, which is our Server.

On Joel's DESKTOP, look for the FZ on the Taskbar (on the bottom of the screen).

Click it.

It will take up to 30 seconds to launch, be patient.

Once it is up, make it FULL SCREEN.

Click on File (top left)

Click on Site Manager

Click on DTRAC

Click on Connect (Bottom/Left)

The files listed in the LEFT BOX are the local files created by the sales people. The files in the RIGHT BOX are the files in the DATATRAC SERVER in Atlanta.

Look at the files on the RIGHT: they are encoded as Date + “points.csv” and will look something like: 072110points.csv.

RIGHT BOX: Look for the latest points file (See below):

072910points.csv

072910points.csv.log (“.log” means that the file is completely processed)

073010points.csv

073010points.csv.log

080110points.csv

080110points.csv.log

Aug 1, 2010 was the last file processed.

LEFT BOX: Look for files AFTER 080110points.csv, ie: 080210points.csv.

IMPORTANT: USE THE EMBEDDED DATES IN THE FILES. IGNORE THE DATES IN THE 4TH COLUMN.

Double-Click each file that needs to be transferred to Atlanta. It will transfer and appear in the RIGHT BOX after a few seconds.

CLOSE FZ (FileZilla)

Log created: /cops/customers/ccg/rpt5/072710points.csv.log

Press [F4] to continue

Press F4 and you will see this:

Although it says 9 validated OK, the 9 were not uploaded. If there is one error in a file, all of the new customer points will be rejected. So the file must be corrected and uploaded again and ARCSVIMPT must be run again for that specific file.

The error is in column 10 of line 1. If there are multiply errors, they will all be displayed like this (Row + Column).

Error are usually easy to see: Alpha characters are where a number should be

(ie: phone#), a blank field (that should not be blank) [Zone, Mapsco, Telephone], etc.

STEP 1:

At Joel's or Ron's PC.

Open the file by navigating to http://centralcourier.com/scdir/fill/

Find the file, then RIGHT CLICK on it.

A small window will pop up that says:

See column J (10). I have highlighted the error in yellow.

Find the correct phone number or enter our phone number: 2145535555 (You can always change the number later, when it is in the points for accout #2)

Save and close the file.

Launch FZ again.

This time, look that the Local Site Box just above the File Box. Click on Desktop.

Double-Click on the point file now saved to your Desktop directory.
